Not really. But we’ll show you everything you need to know to make the process as easy as possible. I will introduce more important settings required in the Dashboard. Let’s start with WordPress basics by going through your dashboard.

As you can see in this screenshot, it is showing multiple options around 15 options are available. But about 10 options are important in this.

  • Dashboard: Briefly show what you have done on your site.
  • Post: In this, you have to go to write the article. All articles and posts appear in this.
  •  Media: In this option, you can upload some images and other media related to your site.
  • Pages: In this, you get to create leaves, ex. Home Page, side page, header, footer.
  • Comments: to observe.
  • Appearance: Change the design and customize how elements are displayed.
  • Plugins: It has some tools that can be used. they are add-on software to customize your website. They can help you to improve security, optimize your SEO, integrate live chat, and many others.
  • Users: This includes giving the owner and anyone else access to work on your site.
  • Tools: Checking site health, importing and exporting posts or comments from other systems.
  • Settings: This includes general settings, as well as reading, discussion, media size, permalinks and privacy.

In Dashboard, Click on Setting/General (Complete all settings)

Following are the details of the fields on general settings page.

Site Title: It displays the name of the site in the template header.

Tagline: Displays a short sentence about your site.

WordPress Address (URL): It is the URL of WordPress directory where your all core application files are present

Site Address (URL): Enter the site URL which you want your site to display on the browser.

E-mail Address: Enter your e-mail address which helps to recover your password or any update 

Membership: Anyone can register an account on your site after you check this checkbox 

New User Default Role: The default role is set for the newly registered user or members. 

Timezone: Sets the time zone based on the particular city.

Date Format: Sets the date format as you need to display on the site.

Time Format: Sets the time format as you need to display on the site.

Week Starts On: Select the week day which you prefer to start for WordPress

Calendar: By default it is set as Monday.

Site Language: Sets the language for the WordPress dashboard

SAVE AND EXIT

In Setting Options Click on Permalinks Check mark on Post Name

You can find them under the Appearance tab on your dashboard. There are plenty of free themes and premium themes, so you can browse around until you find your perfect match. Before install theme, Click on Preview Buttons. You can see this in your website sample view as per your design. 

Go to AppearanceThemes from you see the WordPress dashboard and then click on Add New. ( Choose your theme and install.
